Wigging out

Ugg.  I hate when the head cap is -just- not quite right, so you frog it cus it was long... and then it's short... ToT  Working on her wig sloooowly.  I'll get there I promise XD

Actually considering making her a "tail" wig if I can get it to work out right.  Wouldn't that be cute?  Especially if it's like... She's self conscious or something like that?  How cute is that?  Like IDK I'm weird and I think it's adorable.  BUT yea, trying to figure out wig and eyes, Wanna try and curl the tips of her hair with heat... Not sure how that'll go but yea.

Also, I'm waiting to post her on FB until she is more herself.  Her character would be mortified to be in pictures without looking complete... Not to mention I don't like posting 80 billion photos which is what I'd be prone to do if I just let myself post willy nilly.

Buuuuut yea.  She's gonna have lighter bangs, and her hair hair will be purple.  If she gets a tail wig it'll be in the white.  Cus I'm a loon.  PEACE OUT!

Clippy clop!

So... Centaur... She's here, I love the shit out of her... I got her last friday, so the 19th.  It was a bit hairy scary though.  I knew she was supposed to come and saw that she was out for delivery.  So I sat at home and fidgeted all damn day.  In the afternoon, like 4 ish, I got frustrated and looked on the tracking... It said she had been undeliverable since no one was there...  >.>

Turns out Sun sent her to mom's house... mom was on vacation so no one was there to sign *siiiigh*  Oh well... after a bit of running around and learning about how things come into the sorting center and then go to the place where they'll be delivered from... I finally got her and brought her home and I'm in deep smit.  She's so damn cute I love the shit out of her.  I wish her horns and hooves were lighter though, I may actually order replacement ones in coffee or "tan" instead of "brown"  IDK, she's too cute for me not to love the shit out of her.

So yea, Lith is here, she already has some clothes, I'm working on a cute little shall for her right now!  ^_^  WOoo!

week 4

Eeeerrgh!  Ok so tomorrow is 4 full weeks of waiting since I got my confirmation right?  Right?  Ok yea, it is.  4 weeks tomorrow... T_T Oh god I haven't had such a bad wait in a long time, this is as bad if not worse than Satie...  I'm like an expectant mother at the end of the pregnancy.  I'm so ready for the waiting to be over but I still have a MINIMUM of week left to wait.  starting tomorrow every day that I don't get a shipping notice is going to be HELL, especially cus I kinda expect she's gonna be a week late, which would mean 2 weeks to wait.  GRAAAHH!

So I've consoled myself with thinking about other stuff, like what eyes she's gonna have... XD I know, I know, that's not really other stuff... but oh well.  I'm trying to decide on an idea I had... I'm thinking about making Dust have different colored eyes.  I havn't decided yet if she has heterochromia because she's a cross element elemental and therefor has softly different colored eyes or if all the mixed elementals have heterochromia softly cus they are mixed and the ones that are cross element have mucked up eyes that are strongly different colors and maybe even like... have partial heterochromia...

BUT YEA!  Fun!  contemplating!  Waiting!  Ok the waiting isn't the fun part but yea... LATER!

Waiting and ruffles

Oh lord it's not even been a week since I got my confirmation and I'm STILL crazy over getting Lith and it's showing no signs of stopping.

One way that it's kinda manifesting right now is the fact that I'm going crazy about ruffles.  I found this really pretty "yarn" which they usually use to make those ruffle scarves and I'm using it to make ruffles to sew onto stuff... Now I just need soemthing to sew them onto... They are just so pretty and fluffy and I need dresses and stuff for them to be sewn too but I still need to get my desk figured before I put my machine up T_T  Not to mention what I wanna make to put the ruffles on is a dress for Lith and clearly I can't do that yet....


Problems!  So many problems!

Confirmation

Oh man... I got my confirmation today... now I'm just anxiously waiting cus I know I've got a month...  I wanna get sewing for her so bad it's not even funny.

Currently trying to get our living room fixed up so that everything isn't quite so crazy in here... I've been wanting to change our living room for a long time  Yesterday I was like "Oh I'll just"  and everything happened all at once.  I wasn't able to fix things all the way before the hubs came home so I ended up going to quantity over quality.  The main pieces are where they belong now... Except I've decided the old entertainment center has to go.  Went and took several of the old white shelves, went parts are parts on them and made a new entertainment center... It's nothing fancy but once I empty the non electronics off the old one I am looking to move all the electronics onto this thing and go to town moving it into where Things are gonna be.  Kinda exciting... not as cool as new dollies... but pretty cool

Only thing keeping me from just muscling the whole thing is because I messed up my back yesterday >.<

Oh well!  more as this story progresses..

I just paid for Dust!  S'lithaer is gonna be made!! I haven't been this stoked about anything in a long ass time and I'm annoying the hell out of my hubs cus of it XD He's such a tolerant creature.

But yea.  Prolly gonna go buy fabric today cus I'm too hyper or something...  Maybe I'll try to get ancestor silk for him today >.> That'd make the hubs happy... BWAAH!  Out!

Story:  Workin on it but so far she's a earth and air elemental, a dust elemental.  Probably going to have it be that the pure elements are naturally occurring, the "regular" mixed elements are natural mixes that kinda occurred and are being cared for by their "parent" elementals.  So... Mud, Cinder, Smoke, and Mist are "proper" elemental mixes, Steam and Dust are the "cross" element mixes and are possibly the work of some lunatic mage.  Lith is the Dust elemental, I plan on her having wings, possibly even two pairs or them, like one pair on her human back and another pair on her deer back.
History: Ok.. So!  When RS stealth announced clear resin with pics of stuff in clear resin ( O.O ) I started thinking about how I'd make a doll with clear bits.  Never really wanted a whole doll that was clear, but I was interested in something with clear bits.. Oh wouldn't it be cool to do an elemental?  I destroyed my sister's brain with "Oh wouldn't that be cool"  Then I was like "Oh what about Mixed Elementals be the 1/6th size and pure elements be 1/4th?"  Also cool.  I let that simmer, I had thought a bit about it up until the centaurs came out... Oh boy! Elementals would be super cute if Earth Elementals were centaurs and fire were dragons.. and Oh a little elemental centaur *undignified noises*  So then I realized with some help that I could forgo getting Val reshelled and just go to town on this new idea that I was so gung ho over.... And I'm not looking back... CENTAUR BABY!

Names!!!

Soooo...

S'lithaer  Pronounced S lith air.  Is what I'm going with so far, Nickname is Lith,  My sister suggested something based off of Silicon, I added aether, then as I was trying to combine the two and saw that I could kinda almost make Lithium, which is a soft white metal... and something about that really resonated with me... Not 100% sure on S'lithaer, have to throw it past the husband test first... See if he finds any rude nicknames immediately...  But yea!! tiptoeing closer to her being real!

Flurry of activity

Furious activity even.  I gotta decide what doll I'ma get... Am I gonna get one of the centaurs which I have no pictures of?  Or am I gonna get Aster while I solidify what I'ma do with the centaurs?  I mean Dust sounds like a fairly sure fire bet on what I'm gonna do with her, but colors.... not stupidly sure on.  Aster, I like her but EEEUUUNNNGH!  Centaurs!!! T_T

Honestly I wanna get one of the centaurs.  That is where my heart is leaning.  But before I can do that I have to decide if Dust is going to work, is dust going to be called dust?  Aaaaah!!!

I'll probably continue this line of thought in the shower... maybe I'll come to a conclusion and write that when I'm back from showering.

Ok, so I think on my elementals I might wanna do one clear, one custom and one regular.  So for dust... My idea is clear brown for hooves and horns, custom light purple for deer bits and regular light grey for people bits.  Not 100% on that yet... but getting pretty close to it...  Tiiiime to Email suuuuun! WOOOO!  I"M SO EXCITED!

turning point

So I've been saying to myself and others "I need to stop dragging my feet and actually order Val."  But yet I keep dragging my feet.  I just KEEP dragging my feet.  I mean I loved Val but he never was quite right.  But more importantly... I -Loved- him and Cassie... in the past tense.  I poured so much into the pair of them... And Now... I don't really care for them.  I mean I LOVE Lori.  She's so cute and sweet and lovely.  But Cassie and Val.... It feels Shameful but they have always been kinda formless, kinda empty.  I don't love them anymore.

So I was kinda talking that out without admitting it to myself and Mom just started talking.  Then Don't.  Just stop, don't buy Val, get someone you really want, Get the doll you actually want you don't have to stick with what you had, Wipe Cassie and make her better or whatever.  Don't keep yourself tied to something that doesn't fit.

So I'm not going to.  I have no idea what doll I'm going to get, but I'm actually excited.  Something I haven't really been for the dolls in a while.  I'll keep you posted.

all the things

So it sounds like the roller coaster that was my mom's possible divorce has come to an abrupt halt and everyone is asked very politely to get off the ride and start forgiving everyone around them for the bullshit they said.  I have only my husband and children to apologize to and that's just for being me while stressed.  With that ride halted  all the things that got put on hold in the interim are now back on, everything from the etsy (which hasn't been updated since before Puddle) to the doll stuff has to tri and take the brakes that were so rudely applied.

On to dollies, I got to introduce a new friend to dolls!  YYYAAAAAAYYY!! exciting stuff.  So I ended up taking a suitcase with to olive garden and pull out some babies while we waited for food to show.  That was fun.

Now I'm working on sorting through and putting up several dozen pictures of coats along with getting probably a dozen coats online... Yaaaay... Oh that's pretty arduous in the best of times but I also have to get the rest of the new coats photographed... >.< yikes  works cut out for me again.

Other than that, not much is going on.  I need to rearange my livingroom cus it's driving me crazy, Plus we have way too many things plugged into just like... 2 outlets so I'd like to spread things out a bit...  Well that's all I can think of atm... just a bunch of bullshit really

Pullip doll...

So "I" bought a Pullip, It's a make it own and our company actually bought it... Oh yea, Kaleidoscope coats is now Kaleidoscope BJD wear, and That's been a blast so far.  But yea, back to the doll.

She's a make it own in... brown?  tan?  IDK what they call their colors but she's what I'd call "Hispanic/Filipino" tan.  So I'm pretty much already figured out what I wanna do... I'm gonna do a steampunk salsa dress... We'll have to see what comes of that but I'm excited.

What's really fun about this... Husband is already like "Yep, just waiting for you to fall in love with it"  I specifically got a doll I don't like so that I could fix it up and sell it... I mean I totally understand, cus Yea, that does sound like something I'd do... which is why I'm not doing this with a doll there's any chance of me actually -wanting- Can't do it with resin dolls that's for damn sure, but lemme tell you, I can't fit a flippin Pullip in my collection so thats that.  And that's what I tell me and everyone else...

Either way, YAY! salsa steampunk!  Yay!

Centaurs!  Elemental centaurs?? MIXED ELEMENT CENTAUR BABIES!!

Ok so now that that's out of my system.. a slightly more eloquent version of what I'm on about!  So I've written on here about how I wanted to do a element mash up with the clear bits and about how OMG the centaurs are so damn cute!  Well I've quietly been thinking about them and my dolly plans for the future... when I had enough free processing power to actually do that...

Either way, I am thinking about my "earth" elemental mixed baby maybe being a centaur and while "mud" may be fun, I'm thinking I might wanna go with "dust" or "cinder"  and oh the plans I've got made up!!  I'm trying to decide between them.

Base doll it's self I kinda wanna go with cinder, Plan so far is Swap out a pair of hoves for pixiu feet, swap for pixiu hands, maybe even mod a pixiu tail to go on the butt over the cute little tail, and I'm trying to think of horns to swap the deer horns for so that they can have more dragon like horns.  As if that's not exciting enough, I'm thinking the dear parts would be dark tan or black, the body parts would be lt grey or a custom color that I can't figure out atm, and the hooves and horns would be the clear orange they showed on the new doll... So that's like SUUUPER exciting.  Less excited about her clothes, cus I would be tempted to make her clothes holey and singed... and one of the things I wanna do with this doll is make those super cute saddle outfits like my My Little Ponies had back in the day.

Dust I havn't really figured up as hard as Cinder, Buuuut So far she'd be purple hooves, light grey skin, and tan or maybe ask for slightly darker tan horse bits, Thinking about checking a tan bit against the grey bits, cus I think the light grey is too dark for me to like it as a skin against the normal coffee color.  Buuuut I would be adding wings to her.  Now if you haven't figured it out, I'm way more certain that THIS doll would be a female and with the light and sweet nature I attribute to this version of an elemental centaur, All the clothes Ideas for the MLP type stuff works... I mean it just WOOORKS for this doll.  Lace and fluff and light airy outfits... UFF!  I might end up going for dust because while she's slightly less interesting, and she's a very normal centaur color combo which I -could- flip to make an even more normal color combo and then it wouldn't match Cinder so much... but I don't have any like... questions about what bits she'd have, and I'm sure she's a she.

Either way, that's enough pontificating for the moment.  Centaurs soon to be added more resolutely to the list!  And I tell you what if they make a mermaid tail That's gonna be some wicked elemental water shit right there.

Let me count the ways, One, two, three!  FOUR!  Four centaur babies!!

Oh yea that's fuckin right, 4 new 1/6th heads, 1 new FABULOUS 1/6th body that includes a centaur butt.  but in true resinsoul fashion we don't have any truffing clue what is and is not interchangable.  So here's my first blush.

Neck looks like it's more of one of the new, DJ bodies... and the arms are clearly DJ... Buuuuut!  the arms look slimmer, and they are a peanut joint not a cap joint... The chest section of the new body looks like it is probably actually similar to the SJ female body... now I'm not positive on that but it's what it looks like to me.

One way or the other I love the new dolls.. A plan is slowly forming about them..

Where did the time go?

Kay so life is a shit storm right now.  Puddle is on it's way, mom's having some major problems atm (mom being the person who is the driving force of our GOING to puddle), I'm stressed about my weight and did I mention that our etsy store is doing well enough it's causing problems fer puddle?  Yea, we sold 3 short coats and 1 long coat like 2 weeks ago, all of them pullip coats.

So yea.  I have a bunch of bullshit I need to get done and you know what I've been doing?  In famous Me fashion I've been screwing around on minecraft not doing any of it.  What's that you say?  that's a terrible Idea?  Oh yea, it's awful and I know it.  When I get stressed out I always find another avenue of distraction.  That's been my distraction lately.

T_T) And probably a new one for Val cus... Oh yea, Biggun is on track to buy current Val so I can purchase new beefier Val... aaaaannnnd I'll prolly have to make a wig for old val so Mikey can have him and a wig and Old val will get a new faceup and new val will have to have a faceup simmilar to what he used to have.... O.O  OMFG I'm so damn busy!

On top of all this dolly shit, I'm having to redo our living room cus both our computer desks are going bad fast.  Like really fast... Like the one has a half inch of sag and has had it for a while... Were it not for the fact they can't push out cus they are book ended... They'd have broken a long time ago.

And I'm going to have to cut this pontificating short cus I have a kitten playing in the lid of my sewing machine case.
