Hair: I'll have to ask mom, can't remember off the top... but she's a dishwater blonde.
Extras: Tulip is on the newer RS body, and is before the new hips, so I had to really take some serious sand paper to her hips, and even to the backs of her thighs to make her sit better.  She's got both the regular Rong hands and the Yao hands, not to mention she's got the regular feet and the high heel feet.
Story:  This is mom's doll, not mine.  So I don't really know what kind of story she might ever get, if any.  I know mom likes her but I don't think that mom has any plans for a background story or even a character.

It's been a while

Yea I've been out of it when it comes to Doll stuff.  Like REALLY out of it.  But I just had a doll meet yesterday and I'm pretty excited about the idea of getting back into doll stuff making... I think it has to do with the restringing I did.  Helped restring a SD boy who was being fitful and helped out a lot wish she would have brought his head so that I could have helped more... or that I'd have remembered my glue gun so that i could have helped with his sueding but all is in the past.


So A while back my friend (daemon) who isn't into dolls but IS into creepy things said he'd love it if I would make a creepy doll.  We're talking extra limbs, LED eyes, carved in mouths or wounds, anything I can think of to make a creepy doll.  But my own aesthetic insist that I still need to be able to find her pretty.  SO I  think I might start designing a doll.  Not sure if we're talking true undead (Oh stitches would be fun!) Something serpentine (Naga?  extra arms? extended torso?  WHO KNOWS!!! Probably lots of scales.)  or just straight up alien (Additive mod for spines or ridges?) 

I would certainly use a RS or BBB doll for the base, because... Yea even if someone else is funding I'm still just too frugal to buy a super expensive doll to hack up.  Not to mention, I LOVE RS/BBB! they are pretty easy to work with too... So if I wanted to order extra limbs to add arms... Just add it to the order.  It's really that simple.  Not to mention, color is an option with them...

Bad part about deciding is that he'll be no help.  when talking about it, he simply flooded me with creepy pictures that he was hoping I might be able to do. So yea, he gave me ideas, and NO focus.

I am thinking maybe some crazy frankendoll. And I'll buy some extra arms to make articulated wings with >.> that would be badass... can I pull it off? prolly not.. but FUCK it would be cool.

Random bits

So alot of stuff has been going on, some of it fun... Some of it very NOT fun.  we'll start with the not fun.

Not fun: Eldest gets an ear infection, No more than 2 weeks later, Youngest gets an ear infection.  Little one is still miserable with it, poor little thing.  He's been having problems sleeping, had a fever, and after half a week of dealing with that he finally started tugging on his ear so I knew what was going on.

Not fun: I need to start exercising just so I don't feel so dead all the time.  I've been so tired lately most day's after I get biggun to the buss... I fall back asleep for hours.  Like I've slept till 1 several times, and that's just not cool.

Fun: Eldest is doing really well in school!  Had  a meeting with his teacher about him and he's actually doing really well in most areas.  being that He's been diagnosed with PDD (which is an abnormal autism diagnosis) Him doing "better" in all areas and him doing "average" in some and "above" in others... I'll fuckin take it!

Last fun is a bit of a story:  So a while back, there was this fabric that I wanted, but I didn't really have the money so I put it off.  Well it disappeared from walmart, the whole damn bolt.  This bummed me out greatly, because not only was it purple but it had a rather small motif, suitable for dolly stuff.  Fast forward to earlier this week, I'm in the same walmart, looking at their new pretty display of zippers and I turn to talk to the sweet old lady who cuts the fabric.  And there... in this cart that looks suspiciously like returns is a WAD of this fabric.  I recognize it right off and inspect it.  It is neatly folded and almost looks almost like someone just took the bolt out of the center of the fabric.  I ask her about it, You know, Hey is this up for grabs, what is this, kinda stuff.  And she tells me whats going on with it.

Oh this girl who used to work here had me cut that for her, but apparently when she got it to the register her order totaled out at 150 dollars so she decided not to take it.  Simple enough answer right?  She continues the story though.  Apparently this girl Snuck the fabric into the lawn and garden section and hid it in some room back there.  Left it there... Then, for a totally unrelated thing (Oh yea, this is three full quilts worth of fabric, we divided it out, and they were really quite pretty, 2 of them were nothing I wanted but they were pretty all the same) She got in trouble with the office so left a note on her counter stating simply "I quit" and left.  Now honestly most people would have taken the fabric with them, stealing it, but she didn't...  Some security dude found the fabric and brought it upfront and they just pitched it in a cart and sent it back to fabrics and crafts.

This is the point at which I look down and inspect the fabric once again, there is some dust and it's not as clean as it should be but that's not a Huge deal.  Just as I'm about to leave I look down and notice the date on the tag...  2/26/2011 This lady forgot to mention that this stuff had been out there 3 friggin months!! It only mattered because the stickers they use... don't last 3 months.  They last about 1.5 to 2.  Less if the item is deleted (which this fabric was long since deleted)  BUT! I GOT MY FABRIC! and I'm totally stoked.  the backer for the quilt... Was the stuff i wanted ^o^ I have no idea what I'll do with 8 yards of the stuff since I have no intentions of making the original quilt it was cut for (didn't even buy all the purples, some of them were really not that cute) But I am considering trying to make a different quilt.. just don't know what yet ^_^

But yea, interesting stuff going on, not all good... but it's stuff.

Waloli Kimono from Keely ^_^ Oh it just turned out spectacularly.  I'm thinking about getting a hold of her again and seeing if she'll alter the bow for me so it looks more like wings behind her, either that or I'll wire the ones that she put there.  I'm thinking I might have to get each of my little fairies something from Keely simply because she's so fantastic about it ^_^ Little Fig get some wort of little, boy Waloli or just a little Cutsie Victorian sort of outfit with ruffles XD and my purple girl would have a vastly less frilly version in her colors... Just too much entertainment for me.

Long time no post

So I said something about my new gypsy the last post.  That thing turned out to be a headache and a half.  Just like a regular computer it needed to be updated before it would run properly.  No big deal right?  three days later and having to reinstal the software it finally started working.  Just intime for me to make my dad's birthday card on it.  AND OH was it going to be a cool as hell card!  I got it all figured out on the Gypsy... pluged it into my cricut.... "Um... you aint updated your machine yet dummy"  *rage*

Luckily the cricut only took about 15 minutes to finish updating unlike the Gypsy, So I was able to get everything worked out ok.  I've discovered that I'm not allowed to have things hassle free.  My husband's tax money fun allowance went quickly and without a hitch.  Literally everything I bought with my fun money ended up being a pain in the ass or forced me to get something else to make it work.

On to what little dolly info is in this post.  So I still have no leads on a Small comfort.  None at all.  And it's driving me batty.  I just wish that SOMEONE would contact me about one.  I don't really care what head and all that it has so long as I can get one of those little baby bodies... it makes me sad to think that I'm STILL without my dolly.  No word on any of the shoes either.  I got a Email back from release rain and >.> well it wasn't encouraging. something along the lines of "Don't knwo if we're going to get more of what you want... but buy our new shoes!"  >.> *rage*  I HATE being told to "buy what's there" or "Oh buy these new things" BUT IT"S NOT WHAT I ASKED FOR!  it's like these people have no concept of the fact that I will not buy stuff I don't want... PERIOD.  I don't buy things on "well it's the style I like... but not the color... oh well..."  If it's not what I wanted, I will go with out and you getting in some other thing that I can't bring myself to care about isn't going to change that. [/rant]

Soooo I ordered a Cricut Gypsy... and >.>well originally it was supposed to come in 7 to 10 days... which was the 1st through the 4th... then... they changed it to the first through the 7th... then... they delayed it AGAIN! wasn't supposed to come in till the 8th.

BUT IT'S IN! I just got on the website and it says it's in store! EEE! I'm so excited I gotta go get it ^_^ then! I can see if I can use my cricut cutter more for my dollies (and more importantly more effectively)

I'm Soooo glad the hubby and I went to bed early last night.  The little one went and had a nightmare and woke me up around 5:30 ish and I haven't been back to bed.

So I thought I'd talk about Underpants.  Specifically my doll's lack of them.  Both my eldest and my husband are getting upset with me for not putting underpants on my male doll, Val.  My husband because he hates seeing doll junk laying around while I'm working on clothes for him and my son because... well everyone should be wearing underpants don't you know!  So I'm putting aside the Jeans I am very near completing to make some simple undies for poor Val.  It'll be cotton underpants.. probably made out of the same stuff his new shirt is made from.  Not sure if I'll start on them now... or when i wake up from my inevitable nap.
