Every day I'm durpin...

So satie is coming along nicely, so Is Jesene, AND poor little lori is getting a wig worked on...

In other news my little "Lor" (huju Suve) has found an exceptionally loving mom in my mom.  She's been renamed "Elli" and she shall soon be a red headed little babeh.  Also, I have so many more things for my eventual room for my dollies I just (really, really, really) Need to get a space where the kids won't destroy all my stuff.  I'm considering actually getting a book case thingy, but I NEEEEED doors so that the kids can't wreck it as easily, plus I want it to be -very- bottom heavy so that it won't tip.  I'd love to just straight up make a space like mom but Apartment so no.  I really need a storage solution for the doll clothes, Lotus's outfit by Keely is missing and I'm pretty pissed about that.  But I have no one but myself to be angry at.  I thought I knew where it was and I was very very wrong so I'm slowly going through all the BS in the house looking for it as I try to organize my dolly stuff.  Think it's time the livingroom got a revamp so I can have the doll stuff closer at hand and maybe find a better (read more protected) place for my yarn.

So I've not been keeping this blog updated very well.  And things have changed a bit... OH THE CHANGES!

Jesene is here, Oh is she here. She is sitting in  my doll case here, with her eyes modded open and her first outfit made.  She has a start of a wig that needs worked on, And an idea for what her eyes might look like.

Satie is getting a Steampunk wa-loli kimono from Keely, it's coming along fabulously.  I love it so far.  I saw the skirt and more importantly the bustle which is so totally epic I can't even begin to describe it's cool factor.

Addy has no face yet.  I'm very angry about this.  I tried, OH THE TRYING I DID! to get her to have a face, I ended up so mad I wiped the faceup like 3 times.  Dark grey is my nemisis atm.  I need to have another whack at her but GOD was she a pain so far, I really need to figure something different for her.

We now have a monthly group, we've only had one monthly meet but I'm working on planning the next one! This is something I have wanted to do for a very long time.  I'm so happy it's finally happening.

I have found some epic doll furnature, I mean seriously epic.  A old timey writing desk, a wardrobe, I really need to work on doing a better couch cus I'm no longer happy with the one I made a long time ago out of cardboard.  I wanna make a fully plush couch, best idea yet?  removable cushions because I'm a moron XD.

Still need a bed for Baby Lori, she needs a bassinet or something since she's always sleeping and she needs some clothes.  She is my least clothed dolly for good reason (she's fucking tiny!) but I need a nappy at the least and a layette for her so she can look super extra adorable, but I need to be careful how I make it so it's not bulky... which is so hard... I'm thinking if I can find a fabric that's super thin and can be maybe burned to seal it?  if not I'm going to have to use fabric glue.

I'm working very diligently on some doll furniture for my kids, so that barbie stops taking baths in the sink... with real water...

I've been neglecting dolls for minecraft a lot lately, but minecraft is fun... so *shrugs*

Heads and faces

Satie and Lori both have faces now! Mom's got a doll party this weekend, I'd been trying to work on Logan's face for so long and it was irritating me so badly because I tried to paint his lips and it did -NOT- work but Muh boy didn't care and said he looked good and just needs hair, Might steal poor Logan sometime and see if I can sneak the old lips off and put some new, less weird lips on him but for now I'm just happy that he's got a face and my eldest is happy with it.

I'm pretty pleased with the face up's, I mean... they aren't perfect, but I'm happy with them regardless, and that's the important bit right?  Satie was SOOO hard to get a coat of MSC on without her clouding up... she is actually lightly clouded but the way it did it it works since she's supposed to be fuzzy... Lori was alot easier than I expected, all except that part where I dropped her head... I just about shit myself with fear that she was going to be broke but she just has a smudge on her cheek, forehead and some dust on her nose (THANK GOD!) so I was able to fix that up and get her going on without tooooo much problem.  I'm hoping that the MSC will age well on them like whatever was used on Cassie did...  

Next round of faceupness needs to go to Una and redoing some of the old tester's faceups.  Buuuuut until then I have a nekid baby, a satyr without her own clothes and a little boy who could use some clothes that were made for someone a little thinner than his buddy Ken...

Moar baby

I now have a sleeping head on the way.. I'm kinda shocked, really I am.  After so long waiting for this baby I'm finally getting her... and I'm kinda expecting to wake up.  Like suddenly she'll be gone again.  I haven't even let myself get too excited over her... Once I see her, sleeping with a face up and all that... I'll probably shit myself.

Lets see if that's the truth...

mildly unexpected

Something that I had kinda come to expect would never happen happened today.  I got Lori's body in the mail today.  I still don't have her head but the head should be less difficult to get than the body.  At least I'm hoping.  We will see if it IS actually easier but I have the important part now.. the cute little body.

In other, less related news Satie's wig is done, still not done with Logan or Orn but they both want short hair and I gotta say Orn's wig is being a -bitch- so it's taking a while.  SO MUCH TIME. >.< Some day he too will have a wig.  and it will be neaaat.

So I havn't really been doing much dolly stuff lately.  Why?  Well Minecraft for one.  City of Hero's for two. And then everything else has been leaving me tired.  Got birthdays, both the kids home for summer, then this week.. OOooh this week >.<

The hubby managed to brain himself while we were out celebrating the eldest's birthday.  I think he's got a concussion.  It's clearly mild, there was no vomiting, blacking out, or any of that but he's been "fuzzy" ever since.  Difficulty concentrating and stuttering a little are happening all the time.  That being on top of him having the bum toe and the doctors jacking us around about weather or not they can fix it yet has got me just -wiped- out.  I still haven't done face up's on Logan and Satie... Even though I wanna do them...

Life kinda sucks atm *sigh* well I am tired... time to sleep on the couch.

FREEE!!! Free at last!

Ok so "free" might not be the best way to put this but I'm done with Orn's face up and body blushing (and I hope to remain done with it for a while, come on MSC prove you were worth the money!)  But now I'm free to do Logan and Satie's face ups.  I still ahve to redo Una's eyebrows and do her fancy stuff, but thats whenever Dear sister brings her over... So WOO! Ready to get going on a different doll!

I've been getting lots of ideas for Satie, and Logan will (or should be) a quick face up.  We'll have to see.  I have alot of faces that need redone.  So maybe after those two I'll start on redoing Lotus or some such.
