So... I have gainful employment, and very little time to work on dolly stuff.  At some point I'll post pics of the few things I've been working on since.... forever.  I've been finding, collecting, having things bought for me, and I hope that soon my dolls will have some more parts of the ever so important doll kitchen.


Yea.  The inanimate objects are getting a kitchen.  the whole fucking thing.  Why?  because I'm an idiot.  Ok so it's actually because I managed to find that cast iron skillet way back.  But it's at least a little bit because I'm a moron.  I mean... I'm deciding what colors their kitchen will be, trying to figure out how to make a kitchen floor, my mom got me a baking cupboard, I managed to talk a Tupperware consultant into letting me buy toy Tupperware off of her, mom and I finished the table, and are working on figuring out chairs for my two adults, and possibly how to make a high chair for the baby... all because of two tiny pieces of cast iron.  WHO DOES THIS SHIT? Clearly the answer is me... I decided that I needed all this shit because of a miniature cast iron skillet.

So yea.  In other news I'm thinking I might make some Tees for Val and Cassie, and what I'm thinking, is I'm going to be stretching them on cardboard and paint them with ink from work.  We'll see how well that works... Prolly not that well... but we'll see.

>.< Ugh, I've been working on doll sstuff... just very little.  I'm working on this and that... but it seems like something else always takes priority, so like today... Grandma's card that I never got finished designing... That needs to get done today... so I can give it to her today... Thank GOD for my sticker maker... it would never get done in time if I had to wait for Glue to dry.

History: So I wanted Lori so badly, that one day after having seen a Small Comfort come available on the MP and be totally out of my reach again... AGAIN... I decided to go look through what all was available on Junky spot.  I really distain Hujoo dolls, they have these Enormous heads with Huge eyes and gross little bodies.  So I just was going to check out how much they cost and move on.  But I wanted to see only the smallest doll.  There I came across a Hujoo I had never even heard of before, the "baby" size So I went and looked at the pics and was like "Yea, those are actually pretty cute.  They look nothing like a normal Hujoo."  then I looked down at the price because... well thats what I was doing, looking at the prices.  I just about shit myself.  25 bucks without a face up.  So I did some more research, decided which head I liked and then offered my information to my dearest hubby.  for only 25 bucks I could have a stand in for the doll that kept giving me fits.  Something to placate my want for a baby doll and help me not scream at the computer screen every time I saw a small comfort come available.  And he agreed. 
* When I finally got Lori poor lor had no place in my group.  One of mom's friends had a suve too, so she asked to borrow her.  I happily let her have the doll.  In just a month or two mom had her named and asked me if she could pay me for her.  I told her she didn't have to pay me it was ok.  Mom insisted and TADA! Lor turned into Ellie

COLOR!

So.... I've been offered the chance to help mold the new RS purple... and I'll finish this post when I get a chance... cus wow

Edit~ Ok, I have like... 2 minutes and some brain. Unfortunately it seems that Sun doesn't understand "reference" which being that there is some serious language barrier action going on here I'm not particularly shocked.  the #1 is supposed to be the current lavender, this muddy, very skin toneish redish grey.  the other three are light purple, periwinkle and "true" purple respectively.  I hope against hope that it turns out that he picks one of the latter three. I'll be super excited when he sends some samples my way ^_^

OH MY GOD I'M GOING TO END MY KIDS!

I brought My dolls to this, fairly boring, very slow job that I'm working atm, it's in an office and I have to spend lots of time alone so I thought it would be pretty awesome to bring my dolls along and chill out with them.

Turns out my kids managed to damnage Cassie... My totally 100% irreplacable gift from a friend and my favorite doll.  Val is scratched in the wrist but he is replacable, not a gift and most importantly it's not a big deal... Cassie has a MASSIVE chip out of the inside of her wrist to go along with all the scratches and garfs.  Apparently when I found them repositioned the kids had been pulling the wrists out and letting them go back in and did it wrong. 

I'm furious.... I'm devistated.... I'm at a loss.  I can't stand Cassie being messed up, I can't replace the arm part because she's so yellowed, the only thing I'm going to be able to do is put up a willing to buy on the MP of DoA and hope someone with a siggnifficatnly yellowed BBB female MSD body responds.  The only other option is to buy her a new body or body part.... and yellow it.  which... wow, I don't know if I can get it yellow enough.  If I were to buy her a new body would I buy the same body that needs so much work to get it to work corectly and look nice? or do I buy the slimmer body that looks nice but isn't Cassie's body?  I don't know.  I'm jsut really upset.  First thing I'll do is to try to repair her wrists, I had considered taking her wrists back even more, and now it looks like I don't have a choice on if I try or not.

Retard Squee

So I talked the hubby into letting me get a Hujoo baby... they are only 25 bucks, no face up of course.  I'd always rather paint them myself and getting a face up on them costs an extra 20 O.o it nearly doubles the doll's price.  Plus I'd wanna do the face myself... and I have no idea how you'd take off a face up on abs plastic... Oh yea, she's plastic not resin... which is interesting but I'm not really in much of a world of caring about it.  She's gonna be a nice, cute place holder for Lori, I'ma call her Lor as a place holder name, and she's going to be a really good size guestimation, yea she'll be too big in comparison, but she's around 5 CM larger than a small comfort.

But yea, I'm super stoked, I'm going to buy her from Junkyspot as soon as I have enough for her and Val's shoes (I'm like 20 bucks short XD ) so I'm expecting to put through the order in the next week or 2... I'm looking very forward to it, this'll be my first non RS/BBB doll, and mostly I'm getting her so that I can participate in the Junky spot photo contests... because I FLIPPIN LOVE the contests and I wanna join them so bad.. even if I don't ever win... I still wanna friggin be able to try.

Oh and on a different tangent, I was able to get one of the guys at work to print me a chest print on some fabric so i can make Val a Tshirt with a real screen print on it... so that'll be badass ^_^

Big baby

So for a while now I've been thinking about how the blog dolls I did were just... a little too small.  It was hard to get enough differentiation between different heads, especially on the fairies and Lori.  Plus I wasn't 100% pleased with Cassie and the rest... Sooo I decided to take the plunge into making them bigger... Well at first I was like Oh..twice the size won't be so bad... Then half way through refining the larger doll I realized it was ... a little too big.  BUt the detail was really coming together... So I thought.. well I'll do 3/4ths of that size >.< well now that I'd done the larger one... this was kinda tortuously small in comparison, trying to get the details... So I decided that I'd make a new Lori in each size... And double the size one by a land slide.  So meet the new, enlarged blog doll of Lori next to the old one..

I can't help but love the adorable little look on her face T_T I want her... I'll be updating all the blog dolls and adding them into their profiles.  the old ones will still be used when I don't know what to do with the doll.
